Conflict and violence between and within communities have left a deep legacy in Belfast. Despite recent political developments, people in Belfast live, attend school, celebrate traditions, play sport and socialise separately.  Promoting Good Relations’ is a corporate objective for the city. Encouraging understanding and respect makes Belfast a better place for people of all cultures to live and work together.  Good relations is about a tolerant pluralist society where diversity is celebrated in an inclusive manner.
